"Professional Moments"

A Framework for Shaping your Professional Life…

Faith-focused—wisdom coaching

As I was going back over my notes and coaching sessions of some of my life coaching sessions, I was reminded of many of the “Christian professionals” who has graced my creative, coaching workspace!

Not understanding that in order to solve their problem (s), the process must be conducted in a new way. It means changing your perspective, taking risks, ignoring doubt and facing their fears. It can also mean breaking with the current routine and doing something different!

It is amazing to me how disengaged many people are, not only from the kingdom perspective…but from the reality of their part in a broken relationship, whether personal, spiritual or work-related!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️

We, as faith-focused, workplace leaders and professionals, are called to be examples of the principles and lifestyles of the word of God; (Kingdom), not recruit people who, during a crisis, come to Christ just to get out of a present situation, or who simply want to rant & rave about a wrong-doing that they are experiencing; at the same time—blaming somebody else for the entire situation.

Creative, spiritual coaching is not for those who simply want to join a social club! They usually end up blaming the coach for the straight talk, and for own decision to display immature behavior, that is totally incongruent and inconsistent with the principles and precepts, set by God!

We are to be mature in understanding, committed, dependable, reliable, unwavering… not self-absorbed and certainly “not” emotionally immature…especially after several years! It’s no wonder the world is turned off by immature and carnal baby Huey’s! (Baby Huey is a gigantic and naïve duckling cartoon character) I am so taken back at times, when I experience such behavior, displaying itself in believers! Immature behavior is appropriate for a baby, but not for mature, adult believers! You are called to grow up, be productive and subdue your obstacles!

Children have many years of further growth and discipline, before they reach adulthood! Many of you are already at an adult age! You are called to be…Overcomers! Ecclesiastes 10:8 says, whosoever breaks the hedge, a serpent will bite them. The meaning is, “don’t break down your hedge of protection and get bitten by a snake; the poison, if not treated, can be lethal!

God puts His hedge of protection (symbolic of low, intertwined thorn bushes that would grow around what needed to be protected and used similar to a fence to keep out wild harmful animals), around your life, however, you can cause little breaks to appear, little holes through which the enemy of our souls can come in by his cunning craftiness, then fix his poisoned fangs onto you, sinking into the very fabric of your spiritual life.

How can you break a hedge? You can break a hedge by wrong ungodly attitudes, having sinful thoughts and ways, unforgiveness, backpedaling, and through disobedience to the word and will of God.

If the serpent has bitten you, if sin has a hold on your life, the cure is found in Jesus Christ…His principles and wisdom. Let Him restore your wall of protection, repair your spiritual hedge, and fill the break in the hedge. Whether you just need a little help, want to advance in your life, or want to partner with your coach in your workforce or life transition…there will always be a solution for you.
